REGIONAL CONFERENCE IN ZAGREB Leading Together: Regional Cooperation for Sustainable Peace

On behalf of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights – Croatia it is with much joy we invite you to the Political Youth Network Regional Conference Leading Together: Regional Cooperation for Sustainable Peace which will be organized from 7th to 10th June 2022 in Zagreb, Croatia.

The conference will bring together young political leaders from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia to deepen their knowledge and understanding of current challenges the region faces as well as to strengthen and renew the commitment to regional cooperation.

Workshops and lectures will be organized to help young political leaders from the region to develop their skills and become beacons of the reconciliation process as well as to develop their skills and fulfill their potential. Topics such as the reconciliation process, sustainable peace and cooperation with civil society will be at the center of the program. Apart from lectures and workshops, this conference will offer an opportunity for participants to visit Croatian institutions and get first-hand insight into the Croatian perspective on European Union membership.

The Political Youth Network General Assembly will be held during the conference as well. The agenda and other information will be delivered to you in a timely manner.

Who can apply?

Members of youth organizations of political parties. We encourage organizations to send to the conference their younger members who have so far not had the opportunity to network internationally with their peers. Membership in the Political Youth Network is not obligatory for attending the conference.

The deadline to submit your application is 29 April 2022. 

Selection criteria

Please have in mind that only one person can represent your political party. Also, due to a large number of the Political Youth Network members, selection criteria will be based on the motivation as well.

Logistical information

Travel, accommodation, meals and visa costs will be covered by the Youth Initiative for Human Rights.

Working language of the conference is English.
