Human Rights Discussion: Regional Cooperation and Transitional Justice

On March 9th also in Sarajevo, YIHR BH organized a human rights discussion on Regional Cooperation and Transitional Justice.

The participants were PYN members from Bosnia and Herzegovina who engaged in a discussion around mechanisms to ensure respect of rights of victims and to guarantee non-recurrence of violence through positive approaches to regional cooperation.

Justice and reconciliation mechanisms were discussed, focusing on the challenges currently creating obstacles for cooperation in the regional setting. The participants were introduced to the main existing initiatives in regards to regional cooperation in the field of transitional justice, such as inter-state cooperation in criminal matters, regional reconciliation mechanisms such as Regional Youth Cooperation Office and RYCO.
