The media is the seventh force, and the pen is more powerful than the sword. The media play a significant role in your career, and relationships with them need to be created and nurtured. The media have certain rules and it is necessary for you to know how they operate. Learn how to relate to the media – how to communicate directly, clearly and openly. At this training you will learn how to write a press release and invitation, how to appear when giving a statement to the media and how to nurture a relationship with the media. You will have the opportunity to see good examples from Croatia and the world in political communication with the media. The training is interactive, so the number of participants is limited.

About the trainer
Katarina Horvat is the owner of HORKA Communications. She obtained her Master’s degree in the field of media culture at the University of Osijek. Her further educations and professional development include London School of Public Relations, Valentis Center for Behavioral Research and other non formal educations in the field of communication, entrepreneurship and human rights. She is the author of several expert and scientific papers on marketing and communication. Katarina has moderated over 30 events and conferences in the past several years. She works as the associate for public relations and marketing in public and private sector, educator in the field of communications skills, non verbal communication and public relations as well as a manager of media literacy projects.
